Raisbeck Aviation High School is fortunate to have a strong partnership with Rolls-Royce, including their local office in Everett, WA. The company made a significant contribution to help us build our new school at the Museum of Flight. In addition, Rolls-Royce sponsors the annual Spirit of Excellence Scholarship named for the company’s passion in demonstrating a pursuit of excellence. This passion is epitomized in Henry Royce’s famous phrase “Strive for perfection in everything you do. Take the best that exists and make it better. When it does not exist, design it.”
Beginning with the 2011-2012 school year, Rolls-Royce has generously awarded the Spirit of Excellence scholarship to two Raisbeck Aviation High School seniors who aspire to a university degree in science, technology, engineering or a related field. Each recipient will receive $5,000 towards their college degree. Recipients will be recognized during the First Semester Awards Assembly in February. Each year, recipients’ names are engraved on the fan blade of a Trent 1000 engine, manufactured exclusively for Raisbeck Aviation High School by Rolls-Royce, that is proudly displayed in the lobby of our school.
