About Raisbeck Aviation High School

Raisbeck Aviation High School (RAHS) is an innovative Science, Technology, Engineering and Math college prep public high school where students learn in the context of aviation and aerospace.

RAHS is the only aviation-themed college preparatory school in the country to share resources with an aviation museum. Our proximity to the museum and over 200 industry-related partners in the region offer students the opportunity to be inspired by aviation and aerospace experiences every day.  Our staff and community partners recognize that the aviation and aerospace industries require contributions from many fields: engineering and piloting, robotics, entrepreneurship, operations, policy, design, and more. The school's unique curriculum gives students the opportunity to be inspired and informed by the region's aerospace leaders.

RAHS has developed a world-class career-readiness program that includes mentorships by professionals in the aviation and aerospace industry and internships in high-demand workplaces. Our staff and stakeholders inspire and prepare students to follow an aviation related STEM education and career pathways that will fill the critical gaps in the in Aviation and Aerospace workforce.

RAHS students extend and apply their learning outside the school day through participation and competition in "sports of the minds" teams such as Science Olympiad, Technology Student Association and Speech & Debate. Clubs such as the American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics (AIAA), Airline Career Experience (ACE), and Women in Aviation (WAI) further provide opportunities to connect with the industry.

Students who are successful at RAHS are enthusiastic about learning in the context of aviation and aerospace, demonstrate drive, are eager to be in an environment where problem-solving, communication, teamwork, and self-management play an essential role, and they are prepared for a rigorous course of study.
